This morning’s silent protest outside Royal Ontario museum to remember the courage of peaceful Iranian protestors who took to the streets following the disputed election of June 12, 2009 and the many others who still face grave human rights abuses in the country.

We stood there in silence with X marked masks (representing lack of freedom of speech) we told stories of struggle using signs and collected signed petitions in the hopes of raising awareness and demanding justice for those whose voices are being muzzled.
